Green Favia Coral

I just bought a green favia for a really good price I think it was around 40 dollars. But I never see tentacles come out of it to feed even at night. Is that normal?

It's normal. As long as your parameters are within reason and the lighting is sufficient, you may not need to target feed this coral at all. I had one for 6 or 7 years that did great just catching a piece of fish food every now & then. (flakes, pellets, mysis, etc)

The coral is actually kind of slimy. If anything lands on it, sometimes things will stick. Then it will extend it's tentacles and pull the food into it's mouth. Like mentioned above though, the lights should be all it needs.

I got mine a little over a month ago and never saw anything. It really just looked like it was a painted concrete mold or something not alive, but I've been putting chopped-up frozen food on it and you can see it opening its mouths and swallowing! It was really surprising to see it come to life - not all that slowly either!

I still don't see tentacles though.
