Green Feather Duster?

The LFS has what they are calling Green Feather Dusters (for $30! Canadian). The little hairs are feathery like a feather duster, not smooth like tube anemone/worms are. So is this indeed a feather duster, or is it a stinging tube anemone/worm?

looks like a feather duster/tube worm , maybe a notaulax

A feather duster is a type of tube worm right? But I hear tube anemones can get real big and sting things even though technically they are tube worms as well. If these are indeed feather dusters, then I would like to buy one, but if they are tube anemones then I don't want one!!!

Myka - you were right in your first post when you said the "hairs" are feathery rather than smooth. That's a good distinction between feather dusters & tube anemones. Tube anemones are not technically tube worms as they're in another phylum all together. They're cnidarians like corals and other anemones while feather dusters are poilychaetes in the phylum Annelida.

Well I went and bought it (for an inflated price of $30 CAD for it's meager 1" size). I took a very close look at it, and aside from being lime green, it looks identical to a feather duster.

Thats feather duster or fan worm Sabellastarte sp. not sure what the sub order is for green yellow they dont grow huge about 4" is the largest one i have seen.
