My tank has slowly been growing a strange green film algae, which reminds me of Cyano? It kind of blankets the rock like Cyano, but not as fast. It also blows off the rocks easily with a turkey baster, but will be back on the rock with in a day or 2.
I do get green film algae growing on the glass after about a week, but its not the same stuff. The stuff Im concerned with is a much brighter green and thicker.
Im unsure of what it is and how to get rid of it. I have tried large water changes, installed a larger reactor (which was needed anyways). My water parameters have been consistently the same for the past year. Nitrates are always about 10ppm and phosphates about .01-.06. If a picture is needed I can snap one tonight when I get home.
