green mandarin

Hi gang. I'm looking for a green mandarin, would prefer to pick up a female locally. So before I drive over to the Tampa/Brandon area from Lakeland I thought I would inquire as to whether anyone here knows of one in the area. Thanks.

newb? Mandarins need very well established systems...well beyond the cycle.

(correct me if I'm wrong)

I know, I need to update my profile. Anyhow, it's a 120 AGA tank, 130lbs live rock, roughly a 40gal sump with 10-15gal 'fuge that has 5in DSB and around 20lbs of live rock, some cheato, and some caulerpa that I trim back alot. Tank has been setup 9 months or so, mixed reef. A mandarin is something I've wanted for a long time and I finally feel that the tank is ready to support one.

try aquarium creations or aqua star...they seem to be clse to you and both stores are reputable and have fantastic service

I won't give a dime of my money to Creature Castle. I used to go there once a month to buy dog food. Then they changed the whole store around, stop carrying the food I needed, and worst of all, started selling puppies. I will NOT support a store that enables puppymills.

what is the best way to get to Aqua Star from AC? I don't know the roads in Brandon very well, and about the time I can find my way around they seem to close a road and do a re-route that totally messes me up, lol. ASA is on Bloomingdale right?

Try to get one that eats frozen or pellets, otherwise you will need to replenish the pods in the tank periodically which gets expensive.

I have a green mandarin you can buy. He needs a new home because I just sold off the liverock to redo aquascape and I'm afraid he might not eat enough of the frozen to survive the change. I am asking $10 and he has been eating well for 8 months. Sooner is better for this guy.

Make a right out of the AC parking lot and make a left at the first light (Kings). Go a couple miles to Bloomingdale. You can either:

Go straight at the intersection and make a right into the center

or

Turn right onto Bloomingdale and make a left into it. The store is at the far right/west end of the center.

Sounds like a deal! How far are you from the fairgrounds? I'm metting some friends at the Winghouse across the street, maybe I can pick him up Wednesday evening. If not LMK what is good for you.
