I found these the other day and had to get. Unusual compared to anything else I have in my Zoa/Paly collection. I'm assuming they are a Paly of some sort.

Duncans are LPS are they not? These just have a soft matting tissue that interconnect the polyps. Now that you mention it the heads sure look like one. Time to google.

They look similar, I've never heard of a snakelock anemone before. The reading I found places them in British cold waters. Perhaps with some more research I can find a snakelock type this is tropical.

They may not be the snakelock but in my research I'm more convinced it they are an anemone of some type. Probably best that I move the from the zoa area.

Could be but I've gotten stung by something in my tank and my hole arm turned similar to that picture of that guys arm.

I had never heard about those before either, but thought they looked similar.
Maybe you should try to post in the anemone & clownfish forum?

if there isnt skeleton there i would say anemone as well. There are lots of species of somewhat "pest" anemones that actually not only look kinda cool, b ut they are not nearly as invasive or aggressive as aiptasia, or even majanos which are much much less of a problem than aips.
