Green pistol shrimp

I went fishing for glass shrimp and squid the other night and cause a 2 inch green pistol shrimp. His large claw was stuck in the net and I tried my best not to injure him but the claw broke off. I brought him home since I figured it would have better chances of survival in my tank then thrown back without his claw. Will his claw grow back?? He is alive but has been laying on his side almost all the time.

If he's just lying on his side, he's probably not going to make it. No shrimp should be lying on their side. He would have been fine if you had thrown him back and the claw would have regrown.

Sounds like he might not have been acclimated properly or he was severely damaged while being removed from the net.

I acclimated him with a drip line for about 45 minutes to an hour where the water level tripled I believe the damage from the net was the cause. I checked on him today and it was dead. im wondering what kind of pistol shrimp it was is there a list somewhere hidden that can point me in the right direction of an ID? the color on him was an emerald green ontop to a bluish green on bottom with a dark green claw
