Green Polyped Leather

How many of you guys have a green polyped leather? It would be great to see a few pics of yours. How fast are they growing and to what size?

man, got no pictures for ya, but I do have a smallish green nepthia, and a green toadstool, as well as a green sinularia of some type (finger leather).

The nepthia is slow growing, I expected that much from it, the toadstool and sinulaira are both growing like mad.

My toadstool (rescued from beneath a pile of rocks in the bosses tank) was completely bleached and half dead when I stuck it in my system, it's been about 6 months or so and so far that little bitty half dollar sized frag is now somewhere around 5-6" across the cap.

here is an old picture of one---sorry in order to take a recent pic I need to clean the glass ect in the tank and i am having too much fun here

capn_hylinur is that a green polyped or just regular? I only ask because I am wondering if they change color as they age or what?

Also is that pretty much maximum size? How large is it and how long did it take to get that big?

What situation do they grow fastest in?

is that a rubber band dangling in your tank?

lol PG -that's a very productive cuc member--my pinchusion urchin

unbelievable what they bring up from the bottom that you can't reach--I had this one bring up rubber suctions ect that i have lost, a couple of sps frags that I thought had died, and notice the zoos that it has on it right now--I was able to save those too.
and it is quite tame--it will come up to the top and let you take the stuff off its back
that is a elastic on it from a frag it did awhile ago--colt coral which slipped out of it anyways

Also on a side note, is your pagoda cup closed? It is that cup looking blue green thing in the upper area right? In your experience are they hard or easy to care for, they look pretty cool.

very cool green colour --I am going to find one

the pc is closed at that time. Very easy to care for--its damaged on the right side a touch and I had to move it from the torch beside it. If it is stressed it releases alot of slime that I don't imagine is too health to corals around it.

Yea, I got pretty lucky, I had just seen the ones that ORA sells, when I went to my LFS. They never have frags, but for some reason they had a little frag of it for ten bucks. They thought it was Xenia! Wow

How fast and how big can I expect this guy to get?

toadstool has been the fasting growing coral in my tank.
Easy to trim and frag also --I just take a pair of scissor and cut off a piece of the lobe--wrap it with an elastic to a rock frag and it grows

I don't have any closeup pics of it but you get the idea, I like it, grows fast and less touchy than my regular toadstools. Leathers will grow out the tank if you let them but are so easy to frag it's not really an issue.
