Green slimer placement?

My green slimer seems to have a fairly bleached branch but the polyps are still bright green...I have it placed high in the tank and was wondering if this was a SPS that should be lower...my other SPS are colored fine

This coral thrives with tons-o-light and tons-o-flow. The amount of flow can actually influence the growth patternâ€"thicker and heavier branches (classic Green Slimer look) with heavy flow, thinner and skinnier (more staghorn-eee look) with lower flow...

mine loves light

Mine loves light and flow. Grows like a weed. I have to clip it often.

I have mine 5" away from a 250W 10K MH. It loves light.

This is classic Green Slimer. It often grows up out of the water (or to its surface).

Placement of my Green Slimer

Placement of my Green Slimer

Currently running 2 Aquaullumation Hydra Twenty Six HD LED's on my 120 mixed reef system. The frag is about 7'' from the surface and about another 9'' from the AI HYDRA HD 26 - What are your thoughts on the placement of my GS FRAG?

I agree with everyone. I have mine high up and in a high flow area. Growth and color has been great so far. I'm running hydra 52's at like 45% using the ab+ program.

Similar experience here; high light, high flow. Fast grower and easy to let it get out of control. Just this past week end I had to remove a huge colony that was almost 7 pounds in total weight. Grew to the top of a 30" tall tank, and significantly cut down on tank flow and necessary swimming room.

Do you have a "green slimer" or a "bali green slimer"?

I had a bali green slimer before that I liked but died, and recently I bought "green slimer" from someone and it looks nothing like my old bali green slimer. it does slime a lot though when out of water, just like the bali green slimer.

That's a tough problem to have. [emoji6]
