Green star polyps closed up

Just bought these green star polyps. Saw him cut this piece out on the spot and looked fine to me. They are closed up in this purple enclosing and haven't opened up. Do they look fine?

How long since they were cut and put into your tank?

It can take a few days for them to settle but look out once they get established they spread like crazy! I took mine out and gave it away and it keeps popping up here and there!
