Green star polyps have mostly been retracted the past several days.

I have a nice chunk of GSP in my 10g. For the past couple of days more than 80% of the polyps have not come out.

I have had it for almost 9 months and have never had any problems.

Everything is testing fine, same as it always has been.

My clowns have had it as their host for the past two months, and I really don't want to lose it.

Does anybody know what's going on with it or if I should be concerned?

Tagging along. I was just about to post the same thing pretty much. I've had some GSP for 2 weeks now, but for the past 2 days they haven't come out at all. My water quality of good and the only thing that aggrivates my GSP is my skunk cleaner who wanders through them during feeding time.

I'm worried because my GSP are really one of my favorite corals.

give them time , mine did the same a few weeks ago and a few days later they all opened again and look better then ever.
test the water and do a small water change
if they are in strong flow they may close up to get a rest.

Problem solved. My alk. was super low. I did a water change, the alk. to back up to normal, and all the polyps have opened up.

Thanks everyone. :)
