Astros,

Is that with the same camera? If so then what changes in the settings that you made?

Tin

Actually they weren't with the same camera, but that isn't why they look different.

The top image I used a strobe unit to 'freeze' the action and give me some depth of field to work with, in the other two I increased the ISO and shot a long exposure under the actinics for more of that 'electric' boost in color.

I see that your skill with a camera is growing as fast as the star polyps. I have some in my tank and love to pictures of them also. Great shots.

Awesome pics, i have the same variety of star polyps now with better lighting cant wait to see em get like that!

Star polyps can be a real pain in the rear since they will grow over everything. But man are they cool looking! I have a large colony in my tank and they look incredible under actinics.

I love the way they look in the ebb and flow of the current.

Like a field of fresh, green grass. I love it too. But there will not be any in my new tank. LOL.
