Green surf anemone tank!!

These guys don't spit. They are Coldwater anemones. I keep the temp at 55-58 degrees. I collected these guys from Oregon... Yes with a license:) In fact I collected everything in the tank from Oregon.

It's just over a 1/3" thick. And it's a 28 gallon tank. I use a 1/2hp chiller to keep it cold. It's a dream to clean on a hot day I'll tell you! It has a cpr media reactor and a Marineland slimline skimmer.

A cold water tank Is on my fish bucket list. There used to be an online vender that specialized in cold water fish and inverts from Pacific Northwest. Not sure if he is still in business. Did you make the background insert or it that really stacked rock?

Yes Coldwater marine aquatics have shut down. They may start again hopefully I used to get stuff from them all the time. I did make the background using black waterfall/pond foam. And then painted highlights with garage floor paint. It doesn't breakdown in marine environments, and krylon fusion for the coralline:)

You've gotta get some crescent gunnels in there. Those little guys are so cool, found scores of them guarding their eggs in the tidal zones.

Not likely. I've kept Coldwater octopus before and it didn't eat any starfish. It left most inverts alone. Well except for the crabs, shrimp, and mussels. As you can see this tank is fish less and will remain so for as long as I intend to put an octo in it:)

What light is that? Do Coldwater nems require less light?

I've noticed some people run in insane lights for their nem tanks, but you seem to be only using one small led bar

Most Coldwater anemones don't require light at all. These guys have minimal need for light. They eat a ton though! A simple incandescent bulb would suffice. But I like their color when they get some intense light. I have an old led array that I have at very low power. And you can stuff all kinds of different nem together. They will fight if too close but they are tolerant otherwise.
