Green surf anemone tank!!

Wow! That's amazing. I just passed on a Craigslist deal that had a 1/2 horse chiller for $30 new still in box. Now I'm regretting it.

I would love to have a Coldwater tank. And knowing that these nems just need food and proper temp is pretty sweet.

Does the chiller work super hard to keep the temp that low? My basement stays about 65 year round, so a chiller wouldn't have to work that hard for me.

Yeah Coldwater does have near the amount of worries as tropical reef keeping. All I do is does fresh water and food. I don't have to worry about too many parameters swings typically nitrates for sure they build up a lot and cold water systems because there's not a lot of beneficial bacterial action. It is just much slower and not very efficient. My 140 gallon a lobster tank didn't have a skimmer I only used a powerhead with the filter attachment. And that one was up for three years and didn't have an issue until my chiller went out. This current set up does have a protein skimmer is a slim line 100 marine land and a media reactor. Here is a pic. Of the lobster tank showing the anemone diversity. There were 12 different species in the tank at the time of this pic.
