I need help with my green tip birdsnest coral because it is dying. Parts of the coral are turning white it is almost half of the coral. Can someone tell me how i can heal it. I have it on a high position in my tank with metal halide lighting. The water conditions seems to be fine. Someone help please.

You may need to frag the pieces that are still alive, if it is RTN/STN then it will destroy the whole thing. Posting your exact water parameters might help figure out what is going on.

they grow fast, but they die fast also. as long as you can cut off a few pieces that look fine, they will grow back again, fast.

check all of your parameter (especially Alk, low magnesium will cause swinging in both PH and Alk). it is high up so too much light could be an issue (birdnest requires less light than acros, most of the time). too much flow will effect the polyps extension (lead to bleaching). i have the same issue with my. i moved it down to a lower light area (about 3 inches down from previous spot) and lower flow. my birdnest is recovering quickly. i start to see they are open up with better color and cover the white spots. hope this help, i am not an expert but it has work for me.
