nice tank vareefdog. i just started a oceanic 29gal a few weeks ago and only hope to get it to look half as nice as yours. fairly new to the game. are you still using the stock 36 watt 10k and actinic lights?
I am running the same cube and skimmer. I am having an awful time trying to get the stupid thing to dial in. Where did you get the info on the mod for running the skimmer chamber 1?

Also doing the same, having a miserable time with the skimmer, and would like more info on any mods you've done. I'm having trouble getting enough surface tension for the bubbles to work their way up the neck of the skimmer. I guess there aren't much organics yet either, but should be getting something!
Sorry about not replying- been crazy busy.
The skimmer mods on nano-reef.com- do a search for aquaticlife skimmer 115
And some good videos on you tube for the airline mod.
Thanks for complements. - I am still learning and unfortunately am continuing to mess up as I go. I had something go wrong with my chaeto- it died off in a hurry and I got a nitrate and phos spike. My beautifully growing birds nest started dying back like crazy so I fragged what I could and moved it to my 75 that I started a few months ago.
I am using stock lights- change bulbs every 6 months and added some stunner strips to get some more royal blue to get colors better.
For the skimmer- I have it set high as can be and water level down otherwise it fills too quickly. If thebbuubles aren't reaching the top- may be too high in water or dial turned down.
Thanks again.
The tank looks awesome. I have the same set up with the first and second chamber but changed the light to an old t5 set up my friend gave me...thinking I should go back to PC now lol. Did you buy your corals in larger frags or did you start small and let them grow out? Just wondering how the coral growth is.
Love the Spongodes aka "Incredible Hulk Monti" That is the fastest growing SPS in my tank. My grew out across a rock about 3 inches and then went straight up towards the light about 4 inches
I started all the corals as frags.
I like the spongodes except it is definitely living up to the name incredible hulk- it is pushing the monti cap and zoas out to make room for itself.
Thanks-
