These are the best high resolution images I could get of a problem I've recently noticed with one of my black clowns:

There seems to be a grey/colorless spot on his fin (although the fin appears intact) and a almost matching grey spot on the clown's body. Aside from discoloration both areas look normal without any swelling, extra mucus discharge, fuzzy growths, or anything of that nature. The clown in question is still eating well, does not seem to be gasping for air, and is otherwise in good spirits.
Aside from a few mjano's and aptasia (currently being worked on by cleaner shrimp) the clowns don't have anything in the way of stinging corals to contend with. There are some Green star polyps in the tank, but not in the clown's usual hosting spot in front of the overflow.
Recently, the larger of the two clowns has begun picking on this little guy (my guess is submission, I always thought they were mated pairs when I purchased them a few years ago, but perhaps not). So I'm thinking it may be more trauma related- I've stepped up feeding a wee bit hoping that maybe he's just hungry and being a bully, but I'm sort of thinking that's unlikely. The only other tank inhabitant outside of the cleaning staff is a 6 line wrasse which has never taken an interest in the other two fish.
Oh, and those stringy algae things- If someone knows how to get rid of them I'll love them forever.
