GRMAS July Meeting Minutes
·Next Meeting: Monday August 7th from 7pm-9pm at the Family Fare Community Room.
·Dues: GRMAS is now accepting dues for the year of May 2006-April 2007. Dues are $24/ year, and are prorated $2 less every month. Please see Ed, our treasurer if interested in renewing membership or becoming a member.
·Treasurer report: Please see the member's only section of GRMAS website for this information.
·Club T-shirts: Club t-shirts are in, if you did not pick up your shirt at the June meeting please see Gerde to get your shirt. Please also see Gerde if you are interested in purchasing a shirt but did not reserve one, we have extras.
·Website update: Rob states the website will be new and improved within the next couple weeks, please check it often to see the changes he has made for us. He is still currently working on the member’s only section, but needs assistance from Larry to complete this. We will also be adding in a For Sale section where club members can post items for sale prior to posting it elsewhere. Please e-mail Rob if you have something you would like to have him post for you.
·Sting Rays at John Ball Zoo (June Event): The stingrays were very interested, did have to pay extra to touch them and see them up close but it was worth the extra buck. Those members who attended, please see Ed for reimbursement of 50% of the admission. All other members who were unable to attend that day but would like to see the rays this summer can do so at their leisure and if you present Ed with your receipt of admission we will also reimburse you for 50% of the admission.
·July Event: Saturday July 29th the GRMAS is having their member appreciation picnic at Riverside Park from 11am-3pm, we do have an alcohol permit but it is BYOB. All members are invited to attend. It is a potluck type picnic, please bring a dish to pass. There is a forum on RC where you can sign up for the food items you will be bringing, if you haven’t signed up yet, please do so. The club will be purchasing items for a raffle for prizes for all members who are present. We plan to have enough items for all members to go home with at least 1 prize. Scott, Brian, and Marc are in charge of purchasing items previously requested by members. Rob Macy will post directions on the GRMAS website.
·July discussion: Thanks to Rob Macy for giving an informative discussion on Pico/ Nano tanks. Please see Rob for further information regarding these tiny wonders.
·August discussion: Scott Yonkers will be giving at presentation on the Zeovit system at the august meeting.
·August event: Please join the GRMAS on August 19th at Cascade park from 10:30am-12:30pm. Rob Macy will be teaching club members how to make their own rock.
