Grotech HEA200

I have a friend running a new LFS where I live. His coral and anemone acclimation tank is running a GroTech HEA200. whenever he receives a new shipment of live coral and anemones, the skimmer stops foaming for 24 hours. Any ideas why this might be happening?

The chemicals the corals release or slime coat kills the skimmer head. Or if he adds anything to the water it will do the same thing.

Yeah, these changes affect venturi driven skimmers quite a bit more than NW/pinwheel designs. Not sure about becketts though...

Does any one know whats the Air intake of the HEA200?
