Group buy: "Bulkreefsupply"

i use it and i love it. i can really tell the difference on how fast it works. makes my water clear up nice. and it last longer than the regular one. plus i use it in my warner marine reactor.

i think its worth it. others might think different. i just ran out of GFO but i still have 1.5 pound of rox left so want to get more :)

IMO yes. It's a lot better than the other stuff they sell. With Rox, you barely have to rinse it off. I used to use the other stuff they sell and I would have to rinse for 5 min before it would show some sign of less dust.

hmmm.... maybe ill try some ROX this time, but if i dont like it you guys have to give me my money back! haha, jk.

I currently use 2 little fishes reactors... are the BRS and WM a big upgrade? I don't see what the difference would be, but am always looking for a reason to upgrade equipment! :)

Be careful if you use ROX in the 2 little fishies reactor, the sponges that is used in there are not fine enough for the rox. you might end up with some in your sump.

The reason I like the BRS reactors is because they are easy to load, I have TLF reactors on a tank and I have to pull them off, clean them, reload them and sometimes I skip it when in a hurry because of the time. With the BRS setup it is like changing a RODI filter and I have extra inserts ready to go so once every few months I clean all the inserts, load them, and now I can change in minutes. I use less carbon and change weekly over what I did before with TLF reactors and the tank has less odor and the water is clearer. I like the ROX 0.8 carbon because I do not even rinse it and it is ready to go. I am going to try the High Capacity GFO because a friend of mine swears it lowered his Phosphate from .06 to .03 in a couple of days and I have a heavily stocked tank and it is at .06 all the time because I feed frozen food. I will post a week before and a week after I switch to the hi capacity with a Hanna low range photo meter to see if it works. I will keep you posted.

i really like how you described the process of changing media using the inserts... i hate doing that with my TLF reactors, it takes so long and can get messy! i just wish the BRS ones could be hung over the edge of the sump... i like the WM in sump style, but they are so expensive! i might have to order one of the BRS reactors to try it out...

This sound's great! But I have all ready ordered my 5 stage ro/di system on Sunday from them oh well. But I can still use a couple of other items pukani Dry rock, pinpoint ph and salinity monitor.

The pukani dry rock is some good stuff. It's very light and pourus. I ordered 50 lbs for my build and got a whole lot more than I expected. The only bad thing, since it is dry it does take more tiime to cycle. If you're in no hurry, it's good stuff.

How long does it take to cycle with pukani? i plan to add a little live rock to seed it and use a frozen shrimp or ammonium chloride to start the cycle.

thats the biggest reason i skipped the TLF and use the Warner marine reactor. I just put the GFO in a media bag and toss it in and another media bag with the carbon and throw it in. and the way i hooked yo mine 100 % of the water passes thru the reactor as it goes up the display. I just replaced my media bags 2 days ago. as soon as i did that the next day it was crystal clear. looks like my fish are floating.

so you use 1 WM reactor for both GFO and carbon? nice... how do you have it hooked up so that all water passes through it?
