Group Buy Haitian Lettuce LIVE Rock

Well, it's hard to tell what is a lively part at the moment. Maybe when I get home it will have come out more, or things have changed. I'm hoping to get this into a better tank soon. Something like this needs the best possible chance to live.

THIS ROCK IS GREAT.
Out of the 100 lbs I got several very large pieces. One rock in particular is great because of it's shape it is about 20" x 12" and mostly flat. A perfect rock to build a large ledge or do some clifting with. Hope I can fit it in my tank.

The rock was well worth the wait.
Thanks to Steph, Paul, Pamela, Philip, Tim V and anyone else that was envolved in the process.

I may have some of the medium to small pieces for sale at $2.00. After I cure out this 100 lbs and use what I need I may post at that time what is available. Let me know if you are intersted.

Since I only got a couple pieces totaling about 5lbs, I might swap around for some cool looking small pieces later. Let me know for those that are selling/trading the small stuff.

Also, FWIW, the amount of algae life on the stuff was amazing! Halimeda out the wazoo. I saw Red Grape, Green Grape, and so much more. I could have sworn there were a few Shaving Brush plants on these, but I'm not sure.

Here are the pics from last night as I was unpacking the boxes.

These first two pictures were of rocks that were in the same box.

This is what my rock looks like now:

That water has cleared up a bit since yesterday morning. The day after I put the rock in the water was so cloudy I could barely see the rock in the the tank. Before anyone jumps me, That tank was empty (and I was thinking about taking it down) before I put the rock in it.

Same here. Our water was very cloudy for the first day and a half or so, but some was due to the fine sand we have in there. We only had sand and water in this tank. There were several dead bristle worms and sponges on our rock. I wish I had thought to take pics as we were unloading it. They are amazing pieces! Brook saw a bristleworm in the tank moving around, so it must have found a wet spot to hole up in. Pics do no justice and this only about half of the rock we got. The rest is in mom's tank. The pictures aren't so great. Lots of light bleed from the windows.

Paul.

It doesn't smell as bad as it did a few days ago but I think I may have another week or so. Not sure since this is my first time to cure rock.

It smells like it has another week or two until it is ready. I need to do another water change. I have done one water change and have scrubbed the rocks a few times. It is looking good and the water is clearing. I have a small protien skimmer I am using.

Here's a picture of mine with about 40lbs of other rock also. I haven't put the t-5s on yet so it looks a little yellow
