Hey All,

Ryan at Two Part Solution made a very nice offer to the reefers of FRAG. I am posting the offer below. We get to purchase things at wholesale prices. There is no minimum purchase requirement and no need to organize a group buy. Two Part Solution will ship your order directly to you. It's a limited time offer for one week only. They want us to pick a start time for our club. I think we can discuss the starting date here.

Buffalobunch.....I am going out of town. I am hoping you will keep track of this? TIA

Here's his offer

Dear FRAG,

We are offering an introductory special exclusively for reef clubs. For one week your club can purchase items on our site at wholesale prices. This is your opportunity to take a look at our wide range of bulk reef supplies and get them at WHOLESALE PRICES. There are no minimum purchases and no need to organize a group buy. Simply inform your club of the offer.

After your club decides on the week they want to start the promotion (Monday-Monday) all your members need to do is register for a regular account on our website and send us an email mentioning this promotion and the name of their club. We will update their account to a wholesale account that Monday and give them access to all products with wholesale pricing. Once the promotion is over we will return their accounts to regular retail status. *note* we are not here on Saturdays or Sundays so any requests for wholesale status on these days will not be updated until Monday morning . We will deactivate the wholesale status on Tuesday morning.

All the hassle of organizing a group buy, collecting payment, and distributing the purchase is gone. Each of your members who sign up will have their own wholesale account. They will be able to purchase what they want with no minimum quantity, pay for it and have it shipped directly to their own home or business. For the people in your club that prefer to organize one large order we offer additional savings with quantity discounts and combined shipping. *the quantity discount is only available for individual orders shipped to the same address and on the same transaction.*

If you find the amount too big, I am sure some of you can get together and split the order.

How are there RO/DI units? That is a good price. I've been wanting a Spectrapure, but that sure beats their price.

Tracy, you get what you pay for. Spectrapure is the best. There is another gb for Sept. 5

Just thought I'd comment on this . RO/DI units are all plastic housings with filters inside. One set of plastic housings isn't really going to be much different than another so it is the filters that matter. You can find info on the filters we use here

I think pretty much any 5-6 stage RO/DI unit you buy on the market is going to result in zero TDS water that suitable for aquarium use. Some units will have some features like pressure gages, higher GPD ratings or various fittings that could very well make one unit more attractive than another , you just need to decide how much each feature is worth to you.

Does any one want to split one of these up with me 3 ways

Phosphate Remover
Granular Ferric Oxide (GFO)
1 gallon buckets for $54.99 (As low as $43.99 with the quantity discount)
2 gallon buckets for $89.99

I'll buy too.
After reading the GFO thread I'm strongly looking @ going that way.

I've been replentishing calcium w/ WC only but had better get away from that soon too.

As long as week do this a couple weeks from now I can do this, I just did two groupbuys this week so I need to replenish my funds ;)

I vote for a couple weeks from now also.
I won't be back from Vegas until the 31st.

How about the first week of September???

I want to comment on the RO/DI units. They do appear to be very nice units that compare to most other units here on RC including Filter Guys, PurelyH2O and Buckeye. Do not confse any of these units with the MaxCap system as it is a completely different animal than any other unit on the market period. No one else offers 100% individually hand tested and guaranteed RO membranes. No one else offers custom blended and again guaranteed DI resins to meet special conditions like ours here in the Valley. Yes you pay more but after running my MaxCap for over a year now I can honestly say there is no comparison. If I lived somewhere with average water conditions I would not hesitate to buy one of Two Parts units or any of the other RC sponsors units but our water is not average or any where near it in fact. The high TDS, high hardness and high CO2 content kills normal DI resin even with the best of membranes. The extra couple of % rejection you get from a Spectrapure Select series membrane is worth its weight in gold and the optimized DI resins cap it off. I am on track to get over 2000 gallons out of my original Silica Buster cartridge and have already exceeded 630 gallons out of a single MaxCap cartridge and am at or over that number on the second one. Thats in comparison to 150-200 gallons out of every brand of nuclear grade resin I tested over a 10 year period with my previous Dow Filmtec equipped unit using the very best AWI, ARS or PurelyH2O replacement filters.

OK, I'm down off my soap box now, but there really is a difference in what's inside the units. Years and years of research and hundreds of manhours have gone into the MaxCap system and it shows. For some this may not be a big deal but to use here in AZ it really is and I can show anyone who is interested my log books over the last year or so that prove it. I'm anal when it comes to water since its been my profession for 34 years.

And I would be willing to split a bucket of Phosphate media with someone.

Sept is fine. I would probably be interested at least in pelletized FO and lignite carbon. Need to decide on the bulk 2 part stuff. Will this stuff keep in the garage? Is it well sealed?

AZDesertRat - Thanks for the input. I read your input on Spectrapure units in other threads and it sounds like they can't be beat. I'll wait till I can afford the best!

I'd split a bucket of Phosphate Remover with someone. That's sure a lot cheaper than buying a small Phosban container from ATR for $30! Sorry ATR, I do like the store, just REALLY high prices on some dry goods.

I'll split one with you, I have been using a liter for months now and it goes a long way, 1/2 gallon will last me a long time.

I'll order some stuff too. It's nice that they'll ship it to me so I don't have to pick it up. :)
Just let us know which week it ends up being, any time is fine with me.
