Group Buys?

Hello all, I am new the forums and was wondering are group buys worth it? Have you had good experences with them?

I have bought most of my coarls from LFS and have had good luck but the prices are retail.

In the past I have ordered online with limited sucess.

Whats the best way in your opinion to aquire new coarls?

The frag swaps are really a fantastic opportunity to pick up new corals at great prices. I wouldn't be in a huge rush to shop online for corals unless you are ready to try to get something really uncommon. Even then, there is a pretty broad selection from folks on the forum.

I've had a lot of success with group buys for dry goods, fragging supplies, bulbs, etc.

Swaps are great. Don't let the word SWAP fool you. Many people like to swap money for corals:hmm5:

Group buys are great for bulk items or to save on shipping. Say a place has free shipping for $100. You want $50 worth of stuff and so does someone else. Combine the orders for free shipping. That is just one example.

Another type of group buy is for large quantities of things. Someone may order 100 snails at a discount but only want 40.
