group order from Reefs2go

Eddie,
I confirmed he's sending the pencil wrasse. LMK if I need to drop a check off before Friday. Thanks.

I have received notice that the order has been shipped. I will be there to pick it up at 8am. I do not know when it will arrive for sure. My cell is (385-6080). Call me in the morning to give me a phone and make arrangements if possible. I may not have the stuff yet, but we can try to set up a time and place to meet. I will call as soon as I get the stuff to let you know I have it.

Scott - $20.76
Adam - $18.00
JamesM - $36
DaveA - $48.59
Spencer - $1.80

I will check my computer in the morning before I leave -- this thread and my PM box -- to see if anybody left a message.

FedEx on Murdoch at 8:00? If that's the plan I can just meet you there. I'll need to leave no later than 8:30 though. Call at three hundred fifty-three fourty-six if you need to. Thanks.

Dave

Thanks for put together the group order, Eddie. Everything seems to have come in fine for the most part in my stuff. Still quite a few ceriths not moving, be we'll see. The other guys are all over the place. And I hope the wrasse makes it -- he was looking rough.

Fair warning to whomever else got ceriths as well -- three of mine were little white hermits instead. Needless to say, I didn't put unknown hermits in my tank.

Yeah, I saw the wrasse when I got my stuff. He was lying on his side, but his fins were moving a little bit. I tried to get a little water movement to help him breathe a bit better for a minute, while Eddie got my stuff.

I do have a question for all of you though. My order was for the Candy Apple Zooanthids, and a few crabs. I got the bags home, and the crabs are fine.

However, the zooanthidS... it looks to me that it is one single polyp, indicated by the one green dot near the center. The website said it would be 5 polyps, with the below picture:

Perhaps mine aren't open yet? They look drastically different, shown below:

I guess in short, it looks to me that I got a different item, and the wrong quantity. I would just like some more experienced reefers to hopefully tell me I'm wrong. Thanks!

Oh, and thanks, Eddie. I know group buys are always a pain, even if everything turns out perfect.

I swapped out the stuff, and got the right zooanthidS. I'd say there's probably 20 small polyps on it. They've not opened yet, but I see them peeking out.

Yea the ricordia is mine. I had forgotten about getting it. So, when I saw a coral, I gave it to you without really looking at it. I do know the difference. I don't know much more. Well maybe a little bit, but not much. Ha! HA!!

We have since swapped, which I now see. Did not check page 3 either, duh.

It has been a weary day. Lost the wrasse, one chromis, 3 peppermint shrimp. I am not sure about some of the crabs and some of the snails.

Out of 50 ceriths, 3 were white hermit crabs and one was DOA -- all the rest are scattered all over the glass and rock now. And all the nassarius (both kinds) survived and hit the substrate running. Pretty good by comparison to a leaking bag taking out a few shrimp...

My zooanthids have started opening up. Probably 80% are open now, so it survived the trip well also.

The blue leg hermits, I wasn't so sure about. I put them in a small container, all in the corner and waited to see who moved from the corner and who didn't. One of them turned out to be a snail, but that's fine with me. One was an empty shell... but they did send a couple extras anyway.

I dumped all them into the back of my aquarium and have onlyo seen 1 or 2 come out to the front area of the tank. My guess is that maybe the blue legs are not as active as the reds. My reds are all over, all day. Is this what others have found? Maybe mine have just not found their way up front yet.

Overall though, the order turned out just fine on my end. I hate that it didn't for some of the critters.

i just throw mine in the tank and whats alive lives and whats dead is dead. looks like most of my snails came alive though

Thats good to know. I will have to charge you more, because that was not in the original deal. Nothing was said about you getting ones that are the egg laying kind, especially not on Easter weekend. HA!! HA!!! Most of mind, if not all have move from the original dump site.
