I'm considering getting some "tang heaven" started to supplement or possibly replace the dried seavegies I feed to my tang. Have your experiences with Gracilaria been good? Is it relatively easy to grow/maintain? How does it compare to other eaten macroalgae such as ulva?
I'm running a sumpless system, so I am considering setting up an "algae bowl" to grow some macro in. I've tried this before and literally placed a small tank with spent water change aquarium water and small live rocks to grow hair algae- using natural light through a window... the tang really enjoys this. Any suggestions on creating a comparable setup for Gracilaria?
