Growing sea snails, in particular for their shell

I'm really just starting in the saltwater hobby and would like too grow out some snails hoping too get some that grow fast in hopes of getting some hermit crab shells. Is this even possible or okay? What kind of snails grow big enough and fast enough too do this?

There are a few vendors that sell snail shells, wouldn't that be easier? Why do you think you need shells for the hermit crabs? They come with shells and if they are outgrowing the shell they will fight other hermits or kill snails for a bigger shell. How many hermits do you intend to have in your tank?

I'm hoping too have several , around 10 or so. I also was hoping too keep some snails. Things can change tough because I'm just doing research first. I want too have some decent tank cleaners.
