Growth difference thick versus thin. Means...

From all the photos i've seen of beautiful health corals (lets say Milli's for example) they are thick and polyps are tight and close together.

As always I'm wondering if there is something I could be doing different specifically with lighting. I've attached a photo of one of my Milli's which is doing very nicely and growth is good. But i'm noticing the branching is not very thick or as Ideal looking as I've seen them.

What does it mean, are they not getting enough light?

the picture is a bit dark but in general the millie looks good.

the branches arent light related. they are related to the flow, and water chemistry, IMHO.

higher flow seems to make corals grow thicker, and more bushy ... but just from my personal experience, I can be wrong.

also, when my po4 is higher ... I feel like the corals grow thinner branches ... but again, just feelings, no proof to back it up

That is a bad pic sorry, this milli is far back. I've always wondered how much flow the milli's can take along with how much light they can take as well. Ever time decrease the p04 the corals get to light in color.

ohh they can take alot of flow !

the purplish one is very close to MP60, on NTM mode at 100%.

just not Direct flow
