I am just wondering what i may be doing wrong. I have a 150 rr tank with about 200lbs of buna rock. 6mths old. Small 1 in sand bed with araganite. I picked up a great package from reefermadness of sps frags and they are all doing great. Just no growth tips on any of the corals. they have encrusted better than the ones in my old 260. I cannot figure out why i am not seeing any growth tips on any of them. I have at least 30 frags and 3 colonies in the tank. I always used 400 watt halide before tbut the heat issues where really bad in the house. Chiller ran all the time. So i stepped back to 250s with the new reeflux 12k bulbs on a hqi ballast. I dont add alot of supplemnts just dose lime water for top off thru a ro unit. I have 2 250s over a 4 ft tank that is only 24in deep. I think its enough light. Any info you can give me would be would be greatly appreciated. Kevin

It couuld be several issues. Wild corals IME depending on the type can be slow growers. I got a frag pack from RM and most of them also growed slow for me as well. Generally most will grow a base and then explode. I would just give it time. Also with the reeflux bulbs, I'm sure the par isn't that high so I wouldn't expect an extreme growth compared to a 400 watt or 10K 250 watt bulb. I honestly haven't seen any 12K bulbs that even had a decent par.

What are your parameters? Caclium, alk, nitrate, etc? That can be a determining factor. Are you having high fluctuations in heat/ph/alk etc?
