A few Q's.

Can you put GBTA and RBTA's together? Anyone have pics of greens and roses in the same tank?

Are greens and roses just different color morphs of the same species and are their requirements the same?

How much bio load do nems put into a tank? Seems like corals you can pretty much fill every space. Are nems similar, in that you can have many in a tank or do they produce a heavy load so you need to limit the amount you have.

Thanks

(sorry very newb to nems)

Mini, regarding your question on the subject of bioload, I asked another RC member who is knowledgeable on the subject and here's what he said:

"For all intents an purposes, they're just about neutral WRT nitrogen under most conditions. If you feed a lot you can shift things out of balance, but still it's a very minor load. In the dark, they're not neutral WRT to oxygen demand, but a large anemone only uses about 1/10 the amount of O2 of a resting clownfish, so again, the impact is very low."

Interesting stuff, huh?

garygb, you're awesome the way you go out of your way to help us "nem newbs".

Thank you for that information - very interesting.

I think the only substantial bioload/chemical impact you will have to be of concern is 1) if the nem dies and you dont get it out in time... so it starts to decompose (quick!)= nitrogen spike.
2) if your nem is regurgitating its food when you arent looking. Again, decomposing

Otherwise I think they are pretty inert when it comes to 'bioload' or similar parameters.
Good Luck
Jess
