GSP Growth spurt...

I have about a 2" diameter frag of GPS...been opening fully for the past 5 or 6 weeks since getting it...now the last 2 days it has not been opening but there has been a growth spurt of about 1cm of purple mat around the frag the last 2 days...do they tend to not open when growing purple mat that fast??

The encrusting mat has nothing to do with the open/closed polyps.

The mat will continue to spread regardless. If you disturb the rock, changed your flow pattern, or changed your lighting, GSP will sometimes retract for hours, even days.

Thanks xtm...still didn't open again today...but the mat is continuing to grow...will just keep an eye out I guess...
