GSP question

My GSP is so unpredictable. It wasn't doing too well in low flow section of the tank so I moved to higher flow/lighted area and it started doing very well. Then one day it closed and stays closed and I noticed some hair algae around it which I hear is very bad for GSP. So I moved to another spot and it hasn't opened for 3 days. Any suggestion?

mine is in high light/ with high random flow... and it never closes... im growing mine on my overflow... if there is hair algae growing on/around it keep it clean... soft bristle tooth brush works great for that
