GSPs

I am having a GSP problem, and am open to any suggestions. I have three colonies which are separate, and the mother colony. The mother colony and one of the other ones are actually right next to each other (same flow, light etc). The mother colony started closing up about a week and a half ago... it had some red algae type stuff on it, which happens. So i lightly brushed it off with a toothbrush than put it back. It usually takes it about 3 days to open back up after that. Well after about three days.. maybe 10-15 opened back up out of hundreds. waited a day nothing better. than they closed back up again. So i brushed it one more time.. now nothing. its been closed up completely now for close to a week. I put it in another spot with moderate light, moderate flow. It was in a high light high flow area.

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!

Water parameters are all within normal. I am running two 400 watt metal halides and two actinics

Why do you get red algea? U sure the param's are ok?

Mine closed up for over a week one time and at that time RC'ers said that was normal. But I havent had it doing since.

maybe it isnt algae.. its kinda like a redish stuff. i just checked them out and where i moved them might have helped. about 15 are opened up. i'll keep an eye on their progress the next few days.

thx
