I moved a piece of live rock today that had part of a GTBA attached to it, accidentally, and a piece of the GBTA came off, maybe %10 percent of the original. Will the main piece survive. How about the piece that was torn off?
The main piece should survive. Is the anemone mouth still fully intact and part of the big piece of anemone? If it is, the little piece with no mouth portion will most likely die, but the main piece will be ok. Anemones are actually fragged with a cut through the mouth.
Yeah the it is interesting that a section "tore off" like that, but the part with the mouth should be fine the other part may cause an ammonia spike in your tank so you may want to keep an eye on it.
