I've been trying to get all the pieces together for my first reef tank. I bought the 40b and 20l tank at petco as the first pieces of the build.
Parts I have assembled so far:
The tank, obviously
My very homemade stand
2 koralia powerheads
jebao dct400 return pump
BRS RODI system
2 heaters
Parts I am still waiting on
BRS reef saver rock
40# Special grade sand
Red Sea test kit
(Should all be here friday)
Ghost type overflow ordered off ebay
(Hopefully by next Wednesday)
Still need to get:
Protein Skimmer probably a Aquamaxx cones CO-1
Lighting I'm thinking of a Build my LED fixture, or two
Still need to do:
Figure out sump layout
All the plumbing
The DIY stand took way too long, but it is finally finished. It doesn't look too bad, but it is not nearly as nice as I had hoped. At least it is plenty sturdy.
