Guineafowl puffer died but why?

Healthy and eating and then grew this discoloration and it grew larger and larger in two days.... My water parameters are good... Here is a picture.....

The grey patch on his back looks like bacterial infection.

To prevent this anything you would do? I have had puffers for a very long time... Since 2004.. Until this year this has never happened before... I have had them pass away with old age.. Thanks for your input.....

Yeah it's very tough to see this happen. I have purchased this green powder from a company called national fish lab or something like that. I can take a pic later when I get home. It has been very effective to combat bacterial infection in the QT. If I were you, I would remove him and place him in a QT to treat.

Not cheap. But humblefish recommended to me and I have had good luck using it

No problem.. Thanks... The guineafowl did die...I had tried Biofuran... But I will buy this.... Next couple of months I will be looking for another guineafowl or golden puffer.. Thanks...

No antibiotics will work in a DT since the biofilter will render it useless shortly after.
