Gutter guard for jebao powerhead

I have a couple of Jebao WP40s on my tank. The first BTA I had ended up going MIA except a few remnant tentacles. I feel that it got into one of my WP40s. After introducing my next anemone into the tank I put a section of pantyhose over each WP40, but found it greatly restricted flow. I'd like to change out the pantyhose for some gutter guard, but am having difficulty figuring out how to do it while keeping the WP40 adjustable. The gutter guard will have to go over the entire thing including the mounting bracket. Perhaps there's something I'm not even thinking about??

Good idea, going to follow along. . . I cant think of any wonderful helpful hint to offer that would be any good lol. . . the only thing that came to mind at first was maybe suction cups??? you could get a few suction cups, and i believe most of them have holes on the end, where you could use maybe mini zip ties or something to attach to your gutter guard. I would think once you tighten them down and remove the extra they wouldnt look too shabby.

why does it need to be adjustable? haven't you figured out where you want it to point by now?

Try

Try

Try using small zip ties and make a cylinder shaped cage that fits over the power head..only way I could see doing with gutter guard.

just use zip ties and some nylon bridal veil netting from the fabric store, walmart, where ever, it's cheap, durable, and you can snag a few diferent mesh sizes to try out and use the finest one that suits your needs. Can probably find it in black at a good fabric store.
