H. Crispa placement

Does H. Crispa prefer to place its foot in a rock crevice or in sandy substrate?

Anyone have success long term with these guys? I believe i read that H. Crispa (sebea) like a sandy bottom with something solid to anchor to underneath..... Can anyone confirm?

Any I've seen like sand and rock. Almost every one I've seen will have it's base in the sand and be partly on the rock

thanks! that's what i was thinking of trying, i've got a perfect spot. I'm almost done acclimating at this point.....

Mine is attached to the glass bottom (I think) under the sand and up against some rocks. I've had for a few years after getting it from another hobbyist:

Randy Holmes-Farley-that is a very cool tank...how do your other fish get along with the cowfish??

They get along fine. Once in a while the damsels bother the cowfish, and he swims quickly away, sometimes making a splash.
