OK folks, I have, what I believe to be a Heteractus Crispa. It has attached itself to my 95 pound display rock, foot totally off the sand, however it is somewhat oriented at a right angle to the rock. My question is this... should I try to move it up to a crevice near the top? (150 watt metal halide, 65 gallon tall) It's late so I'll post some pics of it tomorrow when I get up.

If it is a Crispa, it should move to the sand.Leave it alone and let it choose where it want to be. Leave several smaller rock near it. It may attach to these rock then you can move it a little. It most likely want to move to the sand near the middle of the tank.

I have two crispas and both climbed from the sand to the top of the rock work. When they did this I had 250 halide. Now they are very content on LEDs

Ok, as promised, here is my Anemone. I'd like a positive id on this guy so I can go from there. LFS swears its H. crispa, I'm not convinced

I am guessing that I can't access the pic because I am not your "Facebook Friend". You might want to try something a little more universal to host your pics like Photobucket.

Yes, that's a crispa. I have one too. Mine is attached in the rock. crispas occasionally attach in the sand, however, both in nature and in aquaria seem to be inclined to attach in the liverock--somewhat reminiscent of BTAs (holes/crevices, etc.).
