H. Reidi Questions

I have a couple questions regarding h. reidi:
1) What size tank do they need? What do you think about a 12" by 12" by 18" tank?
2) Are they harder to keep than h. zoastrae sp.??
3) What SH would be best for a 12" cube or a 12 by 12 by 18 tank?

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately, no seahorses except dwarfs could be kept in a tank that small.... certainly not Reidi. I would say 30 gal minimum for a pair of Reidi. They get very large. Sorry to disappoint

Hi Alex,

I agree with Tom, that tanksize is too small for Reidis.

I keep my Reidi Pair in a 32g tank and they are doing fine.

What about a 16" tank?
Which species get around 6", I was thinking I could do those. They are capenesis or something else maybe.
