Came home to about 35 gals of water in the floor. My front glass pulled away from my side glass leaving about a 8inch gap. Off to kermits we wen't to get a new tank. And now we are reworking everything with cabin3tguys help. Wow what a project and mess and $$$$. I have pergo floor so we'll see if it is ok. I know several of my top corals were exposed for an hour or two. I'm hope full that all the corals will be ok. And I've been babying those new frags since the frag swap. The good news is that kermit's only had a 90 g not a 75 g so It will be bigger. i'm glad I have a few members # for emergency help. Thanks for those. The other good news is that my sons xbox was on the floor and the water had not gotten to it yet. was three inches away. I'm thankful it didn't get that also. :mad2: :rolleye1:

Man, that is terrible and kinda scary! Hope all the corals and the floor are ok. What about the fish? I have some room if you need a babysitter for anything.

Good news for you maybe, but he was only 3.5in from an XBox-360!

I sure hate to hear that ...I can only imagine the panic you felt. If it is any comfort, I have flooded my pergo no less than 3 times with my RO/DI unit and each time my heart hurt for days thinking this was the time that completely ruined the floor and each time it would dry out just fine. Mind you the water would actually shoot up through the pergo each time it got wet...and for about 2 days afterward, it would shoot water if you walked on it . My room with the pergo is not nearly as large as yours but I hope you have the same long term results . I finally bought a timer to set when I have the RO unit turned on so I would quit flooding that floor.
I have some room in my tank too if you need me to keep anything for you .

Hi Malisa, Nick called me shortly after finding out about your mishap. I really felt for you. Thank goodness you were not out of town or something. Did you lose anything? We had a 70 gal discus tank split at the seam just after I brought Nick home from the hospital. I was home and heard it and ran into the bedroom where the tank was. My aunt attempted to hold the corner of the tank together while I carried 5 gal. buckets of water to the patio doors in the room and dumped them. I was able to save the fish and place them into the 55 in the living room. I was lucky I did not rip my c-section incision wide open carrying those buckets of water!! Good luck.

Well I do not recommend the extreme tank build or make over for anyone. We started at 3pm on Sat till 1am then at noon on Sunday till about 7. Not quiet done had a few hang ups. I guess when you really don’t have time to plan that’s what happens. Most everything is back in the tank except for 5 fish I lost.
Skimmer is running but we have to get another fitting for the close loop which we ran over the top into the overflow. Drilling the tank this weekend was a little out of the question. The overflow has a diff pipe fitting and it is so loud. We’ll make adjustment this week. And the close loop we still have to work on one of the fittings was leaking and not hardly any water was coming out into the tank through the csquirrels . After all that We went to eat tonight came home and the hose had popped off of the skimmer and the pump made a nice fountain but put about another 3 gals in the floor. We’ll I hope this next week is better or my husband may put a listing under craigs list for a free curb pick up. He has been such a trooper of my new hobby. The expense and time this week has been a little much. I do like the 90 gal better. By the way THANKS JASON!!!!!
