Had anyone seen eggs like this before?

We recently bought a live rock ( Aqua cultured ). It has some different stuff on it but one thing we noticed was 13 coned shaped bubbles. Started out with little orange balls in the bottom & now they've grown pretty big & are actually a little fury looking. The employees didn't have a clue on what kind of eggs they were, we've also looked all over the internet & couldn't find anything about it. Just want to know what i'm in for or if its going to harm my tank. Thanks

What kind of snails do you have in your tank? Anything out of the ordinary? Whelks can create some odd looking egg masses. Check out the pictures in this link.

It could also be some kind of tunicate/sea squirt.
