Had to move the tank

Lost most everything

Long story....didnt have much time to plan, or it was going to be unplugged. Was unable to get sufficent saltwater mixed up...needed it late at night and well it was afterwork the next day before I was able to fully refill the tank. long story short all the fish and acros are toast. Man I had some huge ones too. Montis softis seem to be okay...think the crabs and snails made it...in the immortal words of John Lennon...its just like starting over.

Man I feel for you! I just had to watch some of my favorite stuff die last week also! I had time but just didn't plan very well and was in a hurry :(. I would just blow the flesh off every night with a turkey baster till it was all gone or stopped receading. I am sure people will help you replace the stuff, MTRC is great for that!!

Thanks guys. THis happened onece before but the thing that ticks me off about this one was that it was unnecessary. Somebody was just being hateful.

nah...I had to get it out of the house fast...I was fearing a bleach additive from a bitter ex wife, plus sun was my only day before the 1st when it was going to be unplugged...neither here nor there...serious drama has been my life for the past 8 months tho

That really sucks... Let us know when you're ready to restock. Most of my acros are just starting to grow out again from the AEFW treatments (no bugs, though;)), but I'll see what I can do to help out.

sure guys I appreciate it...one neat side thing is my dad (I moved it over to his shop) has gotten into it and is talking selling corals and whatnot...he has always loved the tank...but now he is hooked too

Sorry to hear about that. I would say I would help you restock but I'm haveing some crappy tank luck also. I have some devils hand and capnella you could have but that is about it.

yeah guys I wish I would have had time to give out some monster corals...I had about 24 hours to act and no internet access

I had a feeling I was not going to be able to pull it off

things have improved remarkably, all the frags that went in (including acros) are doing very very well, still getting some algae growth but my refugium is growing again and everything I put has lived and is eating it up so it looks like its all uphill from here

got my RO/DI in and will be doing a couple more big water changes anyway...

From someone thats been there.... I know your pain. My nasty divorce forced me out for about 5 years. Its surprising what some people are capable of.
For me now, its all a distant memory, sorta like a bad dream. I hope your situation gets or has gotten to that point!
