Haddoni and occelaris relationship.

I was under the impression that the only hosts of occelaris clown were mags, gigs and mertensii's I went to a LFS today (yes I know most LFS are full of crap) and the clerk told me that Haddoni nems also host occelaris clowns and showed me a video of it in the wild. I always thought it was dangerous to mix occelaris clowns and Haddonis because there have been some cases where the Haddoni actually ate the occ. clown. Do Haddoni nems actaully host occelaris?

Not the the natural host but can happen. Also, yes they can occasionly be devoured. In my tank, my clown ignores the nems and does his own thing.

I have a pair of perc (female) and ocellaris (male) that use a haddoni as their home base even though there is a gig and two mags in the tank. They will visit one of the mags at certain times throughout the day, but always return to the haddoni at night. They also always lay their eggs around the haddoni. I have also had ocellaris in other tanks tank to haddonis without issue.

Tagging along. I bought an electric green Haddoni 4 days ago but my Ocellaris clowns have been in QT for the last several weeks undergoing treatment for internal parasites. Can't wait to see if they move into Haddoni when they go into main tank in a week or so.

Mine ate my perc, that's my assumption anyway, ate my blood shrimp and Fox Face so all fingers are pointing at the haddoni for my clown.

my snowflakes ignored my Haddonis.. same with RBTA.. but I just introduced the carpet, so we will see
