Haddoni bud

Boy Gary I originally saw the title to this thread and and was going to say how didn't I notice that at you house

This is a sidetrack but since the subject is here, are there any carpets that are less aggressive than the real sticky ones? I'd like one very much but I'm afraid of loosing all sorts of fish.

all healthy carpet anemones are really sticky, Kent.
Haddon's is the species most prone to eat fishes.
Gigantea carpet anemone (what mine is) is less prone to eat fish but is extremely challenging to maintain and I couldn't recommend one for your large aquarium. (Didn't I see a pic of your mag anemone in a recent post?)

I used to have a blue Haddon's that formed a bud.

Gary, do you think that haddoni are considered the most prone to eat fishes because they are the most popular, or are they really that much more likely to eat fish?

Haddoni are fish eaters- it's not a popularity contest.

Haddoni is equipped to capture a living fish much more so than gigantea (or other anemones) IME.

I haven't seen it published anywhere before... but I wouldn't be surprised if haddoni emits some type of chemical fish attractant.
You heard it here first- I just hope National Geogaphic is listening :lmao:

Haddoni bud

What is it that makes the gigantea that much more difficult? Water quality, lighting, or combinations of?

The magnifica is doing great.

I've got lots of room and could handle another nem... but just looking for the right one.
