Haddoni in a 75g? good idea or bad?

If i were to make an anemone tank for my 75g and add BTAs and one haddoni, would it be okay? i understand that they get pretty large, but not sure how safe it would be around other fish?

i have a vortech pump, T5HO for lighting, nw150 for a skimmer, 3"-4" sandbed, 80lbs of LR, and run a phosphate reactor. not sure if that mattered or not

right now it only has 1 fish, a yellow coris wrasse

thats what i was worried about :\ so the fish just accidentally bump into them or do they just not realize the danger they pose?

probably just dont realize what kind of danger they pose.....

kinda like a caveman saw some gold wire hooked up to a transformer pushing 10000v into it for the first time...you be like ooooh shiney pretty not knowing what it is...it zaps ya....hard lesson learned right....

I have had a Haddoni in my 75 for 8+ years, and it is still doing great. Though I would caution about mixing it with a BTA, mine was happier after I removed my BTAs from that tank. Stopped moving around as often and was more open. It might work fine for you, but that is what I noticed.

I currently have 3 Haddonis, and in all the time that I have had them, I have only lost two fish, a yellow watchman goby and a Mandarin.

Do they attach to the rockwork or substrate? I'm thinking if that won't work out I could try an lta and multiple bta

Would the black saddleback clownfish be hosted by any of the above anemones?

tod, do they stretch out or keep their folds?

Haddoni prefer being in the sand bed, most of the time with their foot under a rock.

Saddlebacks are naturally hosted by Haddoni ( though I have had a BTA host a saddleback pair in the past.

Most of mine lay flat,

Mine, also in a 75g, tends to be somewhat upright, but thats because it still has its foot back in a cave from when it didnt like my flow pattern.

Before I fixed the flow to its liking it opened flat but shaded, now it stretches out to get full light but seems to like its foot where it origionally planted.

they look awesome. do they stretch out because theres less flow or because theres not enough light? is it kind of like when a BTA loses its bubbles?

would strong flow cause them to fold up instead of closing? i have a vortech powerhead and two tunze 6025s that i could use, also have tunze 6080s but that would be too much for the tank

When curent is picking up the rim of anemone curent is to strong!Mine tend to stretch out flat aginst the rock when they are happy!
