haddoni is eating everything?

I have lost a conch, 2 snails, 4 hermit crabs, 4 fish and now a sea urchin. I feed my haddoni every 3 days. I can understand the fish if they got eaten, but other invertebrates and a sea urchin???? The spines were all over the floor in front of the nem which led me to believe this.

My cucumber (spike) was on the edge of the carpet the other night and avoided any problem. I bet that would make for a up set belly for the haddoni!:(

Thats the risk of keeping a large anemone. Your inhabitants are the ones getting in the way. Its not like the carpet jumps out and catches things. It doesnt matter how much you feed it. If something hits it, theyre gonna get pulled in. Mine has gotten pretty much everything. Clams, snails, hermits, fish, my PPE frag, ect, ect, ect.

My Haddoni eats everything it touches. I feed it frozen krill twice a week, but that doesn't stop it from eating my hermits whenever possible. I'd guess I lose about 2-4 hermits each month...the haddoni is always spitting up partially digested shells.

I wonder if that's bad for his digestion? LOL

just keep feeding it more often until it doesnt eat anything. at one point with my purple haddoni i was feeding it every day, but it still thrived and never ate a single fish after that switch.

I stopped keeping haddonis for this very reason. They are amazingly beautiful creatures, but I think they belong in species tanks - or coral tanks without a lot of swimming / moving critters. I was personally never able to keep them from eating things. Keeping clowns with them helps, somewhat, as does bright night lighting. But I have never discovered a foolproof method.
