Haddoni or Gigantea and T5?

Hello Everyone,

I am interested in adding a Haddoni or Gigantea to my system. I currently have a standard 4 foot long 120 Gallon tank with 40 Breeder sump that was transferred from my leaking 125 gallon, so in total the tank is about 1.5 years old. It is a LPS dominated reef and I already have a RBTA.

My lighting is a 48 inch Tek t5 system with all ATI bulbs. I wanted to know if this would not only support a Haddoni or Gigantea, but also if it would thrive? Please let me know if this is feasible.

For filtration (not sure if it matters or not) I am running 2 Vortech MP40W ES and adding 1 Vortech MP10W, am running a ViaAqua 20-20 Media reactor with Rowaphos, am adding a TLF Media Reactor with Carbon, and am running a Vertex 170 Alpha skimmer.

I thank you in advance for your replies and opinions.

Robert

i have a haddoni in my 120 long(5 footer) and i have a t5 tek light-4/80 watt bulbs and it is doing fine, and growing. When i got him about 6 months ago he was about 6 inches now he is about 8-9 inches when fully open! Im no expert but i do know it is living and growing! It colored up nice in my tank also compared to the guy i bought it from, so that has to count for something!

If you do go with an S. Haddoni, I would be careful about the flow. I had to dial down my 2 MP10's in my four foot 75 because I was getting too much flow for the Haddonis.
