The red is still selling for $799.99:

And as mentioned, the green was $179.99:

That was pretty high price for the red and I didn't think it looked as nice as the last red one they had.

Can't believe they sell those for that price.

They get them for under $20.

Price gouge!

I highly doubt they get them for $20, especially the red ones. An exporter said the price has gone up and can be $80-$200 from the supplier. By the time it gets stateside it can easily double in price. And we need to keep in mind that this is a business and with all businesses money needs to be made in order to stay afloat. Rare items like red haddoni always command a higher price. It also allows them to sell other items for less.

And they acclimate and make sure they are healthy specimens.
The fish from DD are top notch.
The last Blue Gig I got did arrive in bad condition... but the water was coooold.

I agree the price is high.. but who is selling them for $20?
I'll take 5.

That pricing wasn't too bad considering the source it's coming from. LFS had a 8-10 inch blue Haddoni for $250 and the red one for $550...and that's one of the more reasonable stores in Socal that doesn't try to rip people off

Price for the 7 inch red is unreasonable IMO.

More generally speaking, is anyone else perplexed at how red haddonis command significantly higher prices than blues? IME true blue haddonis are harder to find than reds.
