haddoni ?'s

Ok i just started researching anemones and have a few questions

Can two anemones of the same species live together, more importantly can they touch?

Can a haddoni change colors? The one i am thinking about getting is about 5" in diameter and is a purple/brown color. Is it possible for the anemone to become a purple color?

Last but not least, or most important, but what is the average price of a haddoni this size?

Thanks for any info, in the mean time i will read through this forum.

Thanks
Rob

they get huge and eat fish
they need extremely stabil water conditions and lots of light
they dont change color like a chameleon but in good conditions their colors will "improve"
price of a purple haddoni depending on the quality of the specimin and availability in your area could be 3 to 400 dollars could be 70 bucks it depends
i would say anything under 180 for a healthy one is a decent price apparently they are 10 bucks in Thailand :)

sorry never finished and accidently hit "enter"

anywho,

The haddoni i am looking at is a Purple Brown color, but is under PC at the LFS. I on the other hand run a 250 14k HQI so it might morph into purple which is what im hoping.

Best of it that hes asking 40 dollars, so i guess its a decent deal.

Thanks
Rob

how long has the LFS had it ?
how does the mouth look?
have them feed it for you to make sure its eating

under your lights you have a good chance of it becoming deeper purple

hes only had for about a week.

the mouth was not shut completely tight, but it was not gaping open either.

I have not seen him eat, but will request him to feed it b4 i purchase it

Is the mouth being slightly open a big problem?

I hope it becomes a nice purpke anemone, but wont get my hopes up until i actually buy it, and see it happen.

Thanks GSM

sometimes the mouth being open isnt a problem but if it never closes it completly then it may need help

if i do get it what can i do to help it out? other than waiting. can i feed it more often, etc. just wondering what can be done, or is it a gonner already?
