Haffs09 370gal Tank Build...Finally!

Wondering if there are any updates on this. Awesome build and I'm just hoping you've started to put some water in it.

I'm so impressed with the thought and effort you have put into your set-up. You have also documented it very professionally. Thanks for sharing!! Please keep updates coming.

Thanks for the remarks everyone! I don't have much to update on the tank build. I did get one of my vents to the outdoors installed in April. I replaced the glass window with a 1/4" thick piece of lexane and drilled it to fit the vent. I think it came out pretty good.

What's left? Lots! I put a lot of thought into everything you've seen to date. One area that I haven't spent much time thinking about is the electric. I have 3 circuits that I can dedicate to the tank. One of these days I'll need to just batten down the hatches and have at it!

That looks great! Coincidently I just installed some vents as well :) what will you be using to push air out?

Hello Sol, I currently have a Fantech FR125 for the exhaust air. The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards a HRV. The one you have for your build is pretty nice. I'll need to offload some misc. equipment to get the funds for one, though.

Hey John,
Simply amazing!
If you don't mind me asking how much did you spend on the project?

I spent four years on the sidelines of this hobby gathering funds and equipment for the build and easily a 1000 hours (and growing) of house prep, planning and/or building for the aquarium. In the end, I'll trade the $$$ equivalent of a month's vacation in Hawaii for two to bring paradise into my living room every day! Well worth it in my book, but I hope I do not have to do this again anytime soon!

No updates yet :) I didn't work on it at all during the summer... house projects and this little guy have kept me busy! I look forward to getting back at it!

Man what a build so far, you really have a top notch set-up. The more I look at all the big builds the more I think to myself, "Is this what you really want....then I slap myself and wake up screaming, OF COURSE!" Great job man, GET TO WORK!:D

Looking forward to seeing if the winter months are allowing you some time to get back at this build. It's one of my favorites on RC and I'm getting anxious to see some water in there.
