Hagen glo t5 tubes

Just got the odyssea fixture in the mail. It has two external ballasts with moonlights. Nice for the price but I do want to change the tubes. Have a sale here now on the hagen line . They are $29.99 and was wondering what people think of these tubes. No doubt they are better than what came with the fixture. Anyone have them and any thoughts? Thanks


Regular price for these are $52.99...........48 inch 54 watt btw.

Hagen bulbs are pretty low end. They are a little better than what you got with the fixture but not much.

For $30 a bulb, you can get ATI, Geisemann, or KZ.

Look at Reefgeek for a good selection.

Thanks I'll buy online.What would be a good combo with the geisman? They are about $30.00 each online and I want a nice crisp look-not washed out white like I have now. Would really appreciate your input. Thanks again.

Run ATI IMO. Gmann are a little weaker in terms of PAR.

3 ATI Blue Plus and 1 ATI Purple Plus

Thanks can't get the ATI in Canada. Have URI, Geisman and Korallen-Zucht which does offer the fiji purple. I know you're trying lol and much appreciated but now what do you think? Any info on these or something that wolud be close to same would be nice. Thanks again.

Gmann will work just fine. I just like ATI more myself.

Since you can't get ATI then Gmann or KZ will work great.

For KZ I would go with 2 Superblue, 1 New Generation and 1 Fiji Purple.

For Gmann, go 3 Actinic Plus and 1 of the pink bulbs. I think they call it AquaPink?

Can't find the "aquapink", but there is one called aquaflora (listed as white\red?). "The perfect spectrum for lush plant growth". Would that work?

Found the aquapink and all the bulbs you listed except the ati at jlaquatics. Thanks again. And no the aquaflora and aquapink are not the same at all.
